Coverage Options
Understanding your coverage options helps you build a policy that protects what matters — without paying for what you don't need.
Multi-Car Policy Structure
A multi-car policy puts two or more owned vehicles on a single policy. Each vehicle earns its own rate based on make, model, driver assignment, and coverage level. The multi-car discount reduces the total premium when you combine them.
Liability Insurance Per Vehicle
Liability coverage pays for damage you cause to others. Every vehicle on a multi-car policy must carry at least your state's minimum liability limits. You can add higher limits to any vehicle without changing coverage on the others.
Full Coverage for Select Vehicles
Full coverage adds collision and comprehensive to liability. On a multi-car policy, you choose which vehicles carry full coverage — typically financed or leased cars — and which carry liability only. The multi-car discount applies to the whole policy.
Uninsured Motorist Coverage
Uninsured motorist coverage pays your medical bills and vehicle damage when an at-fault driver has no insurance. Required in 22 states. On a multi-car policy, this coverage typically applies to all listed vehicles.
